Class Stool Makeover

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Every year I give my stool a "makeover". It has become my tradition! This poor stool has been around over 20 years and has coats and coats of paint and yards of fabric on it! I keep re-stapling new fabric instead of removing the old...it gives it more cushion! ha! This year was especially hard cover my pink and black stool from last year with a coat of white! Here is how it turned out.

Does anyone else give something in their room a makeover every year?

and you are so creative! I don't have anything in my room that gets a makeover each year, but I do have a wooden stool so I might get inspired by your cute picture!

Your stool looks great! I really like the little bows on the legs. Adorable! I have a stool that has been in my garage awaiting a new paint job all summer! Maybe I'll work on it this weekend!

Love it! You just gave me a new project to work on before school starts back. Mine is pretty boring right now with the standard yucky cushion it came with.

Thanks! I usually try to match my class theme or colors. This year I am matching colors. I am attaching my second picture where the stool is a little closer. Some years I have used decoupage and stickers...for those of you painting a stool...that's an easy idea, too.
