First Scholastic flyers??

I checked my school mailbox and saw the wonderful deals and extra books you can get with your September orders.

So, my question is.. when do you send home your first Scholastic book order flyers for the year? At the end of the first week of school? Second week? Month?

Thanks!

I usually wait until the third week or near the end of the first month so as not to over burden parents who just purchased school supplies.

I send mine home the Monday of the second week of school and give them a week to look them over and send them back to me. I think the first week is just too crazy to add that to.

I was thinking the end of the second week.. I didn't want to add anything more to the first week stuff. I agree that it would get overwhelming to parents!

Thanks for the quick responses. I look forward to hearing more!

I send my home during our parent meeting which is the second week of school. I also attach a letter talking about the bonus points we can earn if we have a $200 order. I had over $500 last year on the first book order. It really works.

Good question. My school is starting after Labor Day this year and we've always started in August so I could wait until the first of September to send them out. I hadn't even thought about it yet so thank you for your question.

Yes, they're the September ones! I got the Click, Lucky, Seesaw, Firefly, and one called Teacher's Picks. They're having some AWESOME deals.. like 10x bonus points, 10 free books, and $10 to spend now. Yay!

It did have a Bonus Points Catalog insert in the Seesaw and Lucky books.

There are a few Halloween books in them, but I'll send them in August anyway. We start back next week!

Tennessee, I'd love for my class to get a $500 order.. the largest one I had last year was around $140.

I Scholastic.

On Laura Candler's web site she has a letter you can download to send home to parents about earning 4000 bonus points. Go to:

One more question. In the Bonus Catalog can you tell me how many bonus points it takes to get and IMac Computer? I have been saving my points for a couple of years in hopes that I would have enough to get a computer. I have 32,000 bonus points!!! Thanks so much!!!!!

Podogpodog, check on the Scholastic site for the catalog codes. They might have them up after August 2nd. I don't have them with me.. sorry!

I did bring the bonus catalog. It has an iMac desk top for 37,800 and the Macbook Pro for 73,500.
