I love your crafts!
I also made the pencil vase but hadn't seen the crayon canister! I must make that too! Good thing I have nothing urgent to do today because these awesome school crafts always take precedent over real life!
Very cute!

craft projects! My hat is off to you! Would you be able to explain how your Brain Bubbles notebooks work? I would like to implement them in my classroom this year. Thank you for sharing your efforts!

crayon container- it was just an empty can of french fried onions, I washed the can good on the inside...then I held up a crayon to see how far they went up the can, I used scrap book paper that I mod podged on the top of the can to cover what wouldn't be covered by crayons, I used hot glue to attach the crayons all the way around, then I added a ribbon at the top

pencil vase- I got a $1 glass from dollar general, it was straight all the way up, no curves otherwise the pencils wouldn't stick, I glued the pencils on one up one down in a pattern, it's not so easy keeping them straight...when I had gone all the way around, I added a ribbon with hot glue as well and the ribbon was too short so I put a cute button in the gap so you couldn't tell I didn't have enough of that ribbon, the glass was not as tall as the pencils but you can't tell by looking, I added the flowers that I got from dollar general as well and that's it

Good luck making the stuff!

I bought the pack of 3 small notebooks from dollar tree, I added the bb recording chart on the inside, it has 18 squares, My plan is that students get 2 done a week for a total of 18, no more, no less for the 9 weeks...they are to record the letter (m for math and L for language arts) and the number of the bubble in the squares, they will write the date and bb letter and # on their page as well, they will show their work if needed on the page also...

I made the small grids using microsoft publisher, I taped them at the top only, this way when we add a new one for the next 9 weeks, I will only tape at the top as well so they can flip back to be sure they don't repeat any of the bubbles a second time, we'll keep adding a new sheet each nine weeks.

I'll attach the sheet I created...

Hope this helped!

Love the Brain Bubbles notebook. I think I still have several in my cupboard at school. I will only be using the bubbles for Math. Do you think 18 is still a reasonable goal?

my hope is that brain bubbles are just a "what do I do now?" kind of thing... + I don't want to kill myself grading them...2 a weeks seems logical...enough for me to be able to look over...I jumped on the boat without thinking through it all, so that's the plan as of now anyway ...I have a tendency of boarding many ships when I should have stayed on dry land...I like the idea though and---I sound like I am trying to talk myself into something---don't I?

OK enough rambling...yes, 2 a week, 18 for the nine weeks

Notebook labels?

It looks like you have a label on your notebooks. Could you post a picture of what the label looks like? I was just going to make a standard label with the students' names, but from what I can see yours look really cute!
