In need of a good movie to show before break

I am looking for a good movie to show my 7th graders on the last day before Christmas break. It can be a Christmas/holiday movie or something non-holiday related. This is purely for fun (it's the only time other than the last day of school that this is allowed). I can show G or PG rated movies. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Many students that age haven't seen Flight of the Navigator (which is great for that age group) or Princess Bride (which is vital for cultural literacy.)

I second The Princess Bride - how else will students know about rats of unusual size?

Thanks for all the great ideas. I have never seen The Princess Bride. I will have to check it out.

Holy cow! Princess bride is a must (but my mom will disown me for not suggesting "Flight of the Navigator"-she loves that movie ).

The three original ones are all rated PG, and with the new one releasing next week, might be fun for those who plan to see it - to see Luke, Leia, Han, the 'droids and the wookie in their younger days...

My kids know I love Star Wars, know I'm going and one said last week... can we PLEASE not watch another Star Wars movie this year?... I'm pretty sure he's not really gifted...

I am planning to show the Minions. We aren't allowed to show holiday movies out of respect for students that don't celebrate Christmas.
