Clip to ScrapBook #1

I'm thinking about running a girls group at my school next year. It would focus on 10-11 year olds. We'd talk about self-esteem, healthy relationships, body image, anxiety, etc. I'm interested in hearing what others have done with girls groups for this age group. What was successful or not? What activities did you do? Guest speakers? I'd like to have a formal plan before I propose to admin. I may be able to access some funds through parent council.

A teacher at my school invited students to attend a yoga class two mornings per week before school.

You would not believe how many students attend...more girls than boys, but the boys love it too.

Our gym teacher also uses yoga as part of warm-up...not every class but at least three times per month.
