Is there a simple way to do s'mores in the classroom? Many of my kids have never had them, and I thought if I could figure out a way to give them that experience, it'd be a cool wrap up on the year! Thanks in advance for any ideas!

We did a sequencing writing paragraph in second grade on how to make s'mores. Then, with the room moms helping with the melting of the marshmallows in the faculty lounge microwave we made them in the classroom. It was a riot, messy, but delicious.

Hope this helps.

We did them in the microwave--it only takes 10 seconds or so. But, they do sell little s'mores makers. My daughter has one. It's just a plug-in type device you might find on Amazon.

Bring a tiny charcoal grill to the playground. Like this little guy. Or a full size Weber. The little one is easier to transport.

We used marshmallow fluff instead of marshmallows.

Thank you all for your suggestions! I have access to a microwave, so I think that is what I will do. I thought about marshmallow fluff, but it just doesn't seem the same!

That s'more maker looks so cool! I like the solar oven suggestion, but won't be able to manage a project of that caliber this school year. I'm keeping for next year!

Thank you for this link! I picked up a pizza box today; I'm doing this with my kids next month.
