Clip to ScrapBook #1

I just happened to stumble on this site last year. My students love the site and I could cater it to their ability. Sadly it was taken down by developer because of illegal copying. I occasionally go back to see if the site was reopened. This is the message that was posted on the page:

Dear Rainforest Maths users,

It is with great pleasure that I announce that Rainforest Maths is returning!

Under the care of the educational team at Mathletics, all the resources loved by you all, will be available at www.mathletics.com from Thursday 22 January 2009.

Teachers who are not Mathletics subscribers, will be provided with FREE access to all the Rainforest Maths resources for their class for 2009. Just email rainforestmaths@3plearning.com for details.

Parents who would like access to Rainforest Maths, will be able to purchase a subscription to Mathletics at a substantial discount of 30%. This will provide you with full access to all the Rainforest Maths and Mathletics resources. Click here to find out more about Mathletics.

Thank you to you all for your support and good wishes through the years Rainforest Maths has been online.

I am really pleased to have found a good home to ensure its future.

Yours sincerely,

Jenny Eather

So I am super ecstatic that it is returning. My question is has anyone else heard anything about this? I went the Mathlectic website and it says that the schools would have to purchase a license. On Jenny's website it's stated that it would be free. So I am a bit confused.

Hello! I saw that site and it has a tab that says "Register for a free class trial"

Hope this helps,

I found this site a good while back and have been checking back often to see if the site was back up yet. We used it quite a bit.

It sounds like you may need some sort of special password to get the free access for your classroom. Maybe you can write to them to get the specifics on this offer.

Thanks for posting this information!

GREAT!!! I used this site last year in my class too. The kids & I love it! I have it bookmarked on my class computers & have noticed the message about the site being down each time I checked the site.

I'm glad the site is returning.
