Reasonably priced rug & bean bags

It seems like I have looked EVERYWHERE for a reasonably priced 'cute' rug for my classroom and bean bags or something comfy for students to sit on & I can't seem to find anything this year! I stopped in Garden Ridge yesterday sure I would find something, but they didn't have any juvenile rugs and their bean bags said for ages 13 and up do to suffication. They seemed pretty flat anyways - I wasn't at all impressed.

So my ramble leads me to my question...where have you found a cute, reasonably priced rug and comfy seating this year??

I purchased a bean bag chair at Walmart for $15 and made two milk cart chairs for a total of $15 and that was only because my local Lowes wouldn't spring to give me the scrap wood for free so I had to buy a sheet...UGH!

Instead of beanbags, Boscov's and also Walmart (I think) have extra large body pillows for $10 in their back to school section. Covers can be taken off to wash and the seams can be opened and I imagine that you can restuff them if they become flat or soiled.

For the carpet, I don't know if you have a BJ's warehouse club near you but they have large berber 8X12 foot rugs for sale -- they are currently 69.99 but there is a $15 off coupon until 8/31 making it 54.99. That is a great price for a rug of that size -- very neutral in color - not exactly bright and primary but large and comfy and cheap.
If you don't have BJ's near you or you don't have a membership, I am sure other big box retailers or warehouse clubs all have similar deals for the college dorm decorating season. (Near us there is also a discounter called Ollie's that also has large rugs at discounted prices.)

Good luck

Usually they will have good deals. Wait until all the campus stuff is on sale 50% off and then if you have a Kohls card, use that extra coupon on top of it. Last year I bought long pillows for like $6 each!

Thank you for all the suggestions! I do have a B.J.'s (and a membership) & Big Lots nearby - I will check them out! Our Ollie's didn't have much in the rug department ...so either they didn't get many in or they're already picked over. Will have to check out Kohl's too...our school starts the 15th....wonder when their campus stuff will go on sale?

Thanks again, I really appreciate the suggestions and ideas!

I got this awesome rug in the picture for $30 from Office Depot last year. I actually bought another one this year so I have more rug space. I am hoping there is not a big difference between the two of them this year!

I ordered a polka dotted rug from Wal Mart online for $42. Pretty decent price!
