Clip to ScrapBook #1

I want to make some bullying task cards. I need some help with ideas. I need some situations for the kids and/or some true false statements.
ex.
1. You are on the playground and someone pushes you. What should you do?
A. push them back
B. cry
C. tell someone what happened

2. You are made at Tom for winning a prize so you call him stuid? Are you being a bully?
True or False

I know with all the creative people here I can make some useful cards but I need imput and help to make them better.

What about 'girl' behavior?
  • pulling hair
  • calling someone fat
  • saying someone likes you, but really doesn't
  • writing notes on the bathroom wall
  • making fun of clothes
You could also have some that deal with the definition of bullying..
  • a kid says you're stupid, but only does it once. Is that bullying? (by the legal definition, it's not)
  • A kid says you're stupid every day for a month, is THAT bullying?
etc.

Task Card Ideas:
Picking on a student because of how they look (over weight, glasses, buck teeth, etc)
Taking a student's lunch money
Telling other people not to be someone's friend because you are mad at them
Making threats (I will beat you up after school)

Unseen-Here are some off the top of my head not knowing exactly the abilities of your students and how you'll use them... Hopefully you can adapt them or they will spark an idea for you? Good luck, I think this is a wonderful idea!

1. Sally is telling Jane she is dumb. Other children start laughing. If you don't help Jane you are being a bully.
True or False

2. While playing on the playground you notice one of your friends is teasing a younger child. What should you do?
A. Ignore her. They are your friend and you don't want them to get in trouble.
B. Talk to your friend.
C. Tell someone.

3. Someone in your class has a brother who is deaf. In the cafeteria you hear someone making fun of the way the brother talks. You join in with the teasing. You are not a bully because you didn't start the bullying.
True or False

4. John tells Joe that his shoes aren't as cool as his and that he can't play basketball with everyone. He tells you that your shoes are cool, so you can. Is John being a bully?
True or False
