Teacher resource room

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I work at an inner city school with few resources.

We have been "adopted" by a group of fabulous people who want to donate supplies for our teacher resource room (basically a bare room with a copy machine).

They asked for a wish list. I honestly have no idea what to ask for. I was just wondering what other schools have in their teacher resource rooms.

Thanks for any ideas you can give!

We had two laminating machines (one big and one small) , die cutting thing and lots of dies, poster making machine, binding machine and those binding things, paper cutter, bulletin board paper on rolls, big tables, office type supplies and xerox machine. I loved that place! We were so lucky!

Do you mean equipment?

-laminator
-rolls of laminator film- those are pricey
-Ellison die cut press/Cricut
-electric 3 hole punch
-a kicka$$ electric pencil sharpener (maybe 2 or 3)
-poster printer
-binding machine to make plastic spiral books or tape binding books
-paper cutter
-electric stapler

Other thoughts:
-leveled readers
-math manipulatives- Unix cubes, geoboards, counting/sorting bears, 3D shapes, measurement visuals
-board games
-jigsaw puzzles of various difficulty/number of pieces

Laminator! You can laminate so many supplies for lessons. Then they can be used for years to come!

Large Paper Cutting Board

Die Cut Machine with all letters for bullitin boards

Hole puncher!!

Our copier makes holes, but it always breaks down when I press that particular button.

A huge clock with the precise time.

A sign that says something about not hitting or kicking the copier machine.

Ours has mostly the same equipment that 1956 and Gimet mentioned.

I also suggest a long-arm stapler, but make sure it's heavily marked to keep it in that room.

If you frequently make booklets from sites such as Reading A-Z a booklet/saddle stapler is a great help. They use regular staples and make the job of stapling the booklets much easier. You can check them out on Amazon, of course!
