This is my first post!! I teach Middle School Band and was wondering if you could share some of you favorite ideas for classroom management. My students meet as a class, every other day. Thank you and I look forward to all of your expertise!

Look into gamification. There are a number of ways that you can do it using Google AFE or manually (on paper).

I use Classcraft, a classroom management app that uses gamification strategies.

Also- Rick Morris, New Management. He has a really nice way of holding kids accountable without ruffling their middle school feathers. He is mostly retired, but his Youtube channel and web site are still out there.

I use Randy Sprick’s CHAMPs program for teaching expectations.

I also picked up some ideas from Harry Wong, Rick Wormeli, and Fred Jones.
