Yesterday, in the Texas Panhandle, it was 107--in June!!!! It was a new record. No rain here for months and months, just dry, windy, and dusty. Kind of like standing in front of a giant blow dryer set on high heat.

Rainy today in the Denver metro area. Snow in the mountains!! I haven't been outside, but according to the Denver Post, it says it's 69 degrees. Doesn't seem right, with the rain, but maybe it is that warm.

I do not think I could live in an area that does not get rain for months and months. Ugh. Seems depressing. Is it? (I've never been to Texas).

Right now it's 84 degrees (with 88% humidity). It stormed for a good couple of hours, but finally stopped. It is still quite dark and I think we are supposed to get another round of storms later today. Rain, rain go away!!!!!

It's chilly here, 59 degrees and windy. Not summer like at all! Our summer in Minnesota has been a bust so far, we have had only a few really warm days where I have needed to turn on the air. At least my electric bill will be low this month.

Saturday it got up to 102 I believe. Yesterday the last time I checked it was 97. Today it says 91 but feels like 97. We haven't had rain in a while and we need it bad!

Yes, it is depressing. Lately, I've been saying that True Grit could either be a new movie, or our weather conditions for the last two months. The sand blows and it is miserable.

The people are lovely, just exactly the stereotype of friendly Texans. I grew up here, and I still hate this dry weather. The only saving grace (besides the people) is that it is very dry, not humid, and it does cool off at night. Kind of like the desert, which is what I fear is coming our way if we don't get some rain.

Don't get the wrong impression of Texas, though. The Hill Country, near San Antonio, is stunningly beautiful, with lots of trees. Even our part of the state has some very rugged beauty, once you leave the Caprock. Lots of small canyons and mesas.

Yick, I even heard last night that East Texas (the Piney Woods) is having trouble with wildfires. So many, many acres have already burned since October.

I think it is around 101 here today. We had record highs for the past few days, but storms (and tornadoes) could come tonight and lower the temp a bit for the rest of the week. We are having very high winds and not enough rain. I hate fire danger weather.

My car read the temp as 112 yesterday at the hottest point. News said 109. But you know, we have zero humidity. I went to OK last summer and their 80 felt worse that our 100. I am used to the dry heat, although I won't let DD play outside until dusk.

I did like the way my hair and skin looked healthy in OK, though.

The high today is 101. It is very humid and sorta feels like walking into a wet blanket when you go outside. We haven't had any real rain in our area in weeks.

had thunderstorms in the evenings. (nice because my garden has enjoyed the rain each night)

Today it's only in the 80s and it is raining this afternoon. I wanted to hit the beach this first Monday of summer break, but I just had to stay inside and clean because of the bad weather. (My garden needed it!)

79 degrees in San Jose, CA. Supposed to get to 90 today. Average temperature is mid-eighties for Summer. Tomorrow expected 94, then a slight cool down Wednesday and much cooler the rest of the week. Most of June was colder then average and we got almost an inch of rain (which is a lot for a month where we normally would get a trace amount). We generally get rain from Oct.-March and get a total of 15 inches.

Too hot!

Just a couple weeks (3?) ago I was using a top sheet, 3 heavy blankets & wearing a FLEECE nightgown & I was STILL cold. Last night, regular cotton nightgown no blankets....
Sigh we went from WINTER to SUMMER overnight!
Currently in central California it is "only" 78 degrees (at 11am); supposed to be 97 today, 101 tomorrow. We get to about 114 at the highest, with at least a good handful of 107-108.

But it's a dry heat so we're lucky!

Today is going to be cooler than yesterday. Only 104 today
Three days in the past week have been over 112!!!
Every day for the past 3 weeks have been over 100.
Later this week the temps are suppose to drop down to 95.
Ugh! I go to the store and just buy fruit and drinks. No one is in the mood to eat because it is so hot! And to think that we have 4 baseball games this week.

Houston was around 104 degrees yesterday. Its just unbearable. I now try to schedule all of my errands/outinngs to a few days a week, so that I have some days that I don't have to go out at all because of the horrible heat. I love Texas, but hate the heat!!!

We were in the upper 90's for late May and early June, then we cooled off some. The humidity was down some, and it was in the low 80's. It's really humid today, but probably not out of the upper 70's.
