Wal-Mart furniture

Have you ever ordered furniture from Wal-Mart? What was your experience?

I'm looking at this glider: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Storkcraft...Rocker/6006620

It looks nice and has pretty good reviews. It's also about a quarter of the price of the gliders at the furniture stores and Babies R Us. I feel like I need some place to sit to feed the baby at night without going downstairs.

I have ordered a couple of things. We bought a glider from them whenn my first DD was born over 8 yrs ago. It held up great- just recently got rid of it. We just bought my 3 yr old a twin bed and headboard from them. I did the site to store pick-up and there was no shipping. The quality seems alright - it isn't Pottery Barn Kids or anything, but serves the purpose and saved a lot of money.

I purchased my son's metal-frame bunk bed from Wal-Mart. It's still going strong!

search the brand

It's not so much that it's sold by Walmart, search the maker of the furniture and see what sort of reviews they have, who else sells their items.

I've bought some things from Walmart that have held up really well, and others that didn't. But it really depends on the brand of the item.

According to their website, Babies R Us sells Storkcraft furniture - could very well be it's the exact same glider.

I have that glider. It's great! We've had it for about 3 years now and it's held up fine.

Our baby is nearly 3 weeks old and we have that exact glider from Walmart as well! For the price you can't beat it- but the padding doesn't help much if you are in the seat for an hour or longer rocking! Our chair creaks a lot, too!

Ordered a set with that glider included from wm last week via site to store. The glider was ok, the seat was small and it didn't glide smoothly and was hard to get in and out of bc it reclined too much. The crib and dresser were terrible- half the hardware was missing and the dresser was missing several wood pieces. It was chipping and scratching right out of the box. Needless to say, we returned it. I wouldn't recommend it, it was a huge headache returning that huge box.

Edited... We actually bought this set, http://www.walmart.com/ip/Graco-Comp...herry/19512500

I think this glider is different than than the one you're asking about.

We bought that same glider exactly one year ago and I loved it until it started squeaking. We did everything to try to get it to stop. After 6 months I couldn't stand it anymore because it wasn't helping put the baby to sleep it was waking him up! We went out and bought a recliner and this chair is sitting in our garage.
