What theme should I use, if any?

My family has been having weekly Zoom meetings (4 siblings across 3 states). Lately I've been hosting because of the unlimited Zoom time with my account. Our last gathering lasted 2.5 hrs. I'm going to shake it up a little and this week I'm hosting Family Fun night where we're going to do Karaoke and play a game of Kahoot. Here's where I need some suggestions. I need to create the Kahoot questions and am trying to determine what kind of questions I should use. Do I use questions about the family? Entertainment? Movies? Trivia Pursuit style (a mix)? We'll have about 15 people playing, ages ranging from 8-49. Thoughts?

Oh my goodness, what a great idea. I think Trivia Pursuit style would be great because then you can ask questions that everyone can answer.

How about also doing the 100,000 Pyramid style?

Come up with categories of words and each pair of family members go around working together (one gives clues, the other say it) and see who guesses the most in the fastest time.

Sounds like great fun! I agree with the Trivial Pursuit type questions. Throw in some questions that only an 8 yr old or teenager would know.

That sounds like fun! I want to join your family!

Maybe instead of trivial pursuit (because some of us are trivia impaired), you could make a game like "Scene It." Show a picture for a few seconds or a funny, short video clip, and then ask questions about it, to see who was being observant.
