Can anyone suggest a schedule if they have one they use and like. I have two teens and a husky. My husband is hopefully getting more hours at work this week. Fingers crossed. Please share suggestions on what works for you.

I am probably not the best one to give advice but a typical day:

Feed the cats and groom them
Exercise
Shower
Eat breakfast
Watch The View
Sew or work on some project in the works, read, online games, PT.....
Lunch
Continue with projects or if it is nice outside sit on the deck in the sun
Supper
Watch tv
Play with the cats
Go to bed

Sort of boring on paper, but keeps me occupied. Worth noting: I am somewhat an introvert so staying home isn’t as tough on me as for some others.

Oh, and too many visits to by bag of Dove dark chocolates through the day!

I plan for 30-45 minutes of exercise in my day.I work out on YouTube with a woman named Pahla B. Her workouts are great, and free. I watch Governor's Cuomo and Murphy's daily briefings. Andrew Cuomo is on TV at 11 and Phil Murphy around 1 most days and they last about an hour a piece. I go out for a socially distanced walk with a neighbor that lasts around an hour in the afternoon with my dog. I spend about an hour watching programs I have DVRd and I also spend time reading. Once a week, I have a Zoom chat with two others. I also have time to cook and so some baking, but not every day.

This is not a rigorous schedule. I am retired and used to having time to myself, but this is too much time where I can't go anywhere or do anything. I am really missing the gym and the library and being able to go out to lunch with friends.

6:30 am wake up, do all my knee/physical therapy exercises
7:00 feed the animals, clean cat box
7:30 eat breakfast and read the news
8:30 go on a very slow walk to my goalpost and back
9:30 ice my knee and check/respond to emails, students work online, prep lessons
12:00 or 1:00 eat some lunch or a snack
1:00-3:0O read a book, light yard work, clean up house, knee exercises
3:00-5:00 online stuff, maybe tv, more reading
5:00 dinner, feed all the animals, wash up dishes
5:00-7:00 tv
7:00 prep for bed, more exercises for my knee
8:00 lights out

Of course this can vary a bit. Sometimes I work on a small project or have a doctor's appointment.

Finding a routine is important to my me Tal health. I hope you find one for yourself soon.

I'm not working either due to my retirement. I obviously can't do many of my regular activities but do have some structure.

MWF early morning: OTF online workout
other days: long morning walk
M 1-3 pm Zoom film class
Th 10-12 Zoom current events class
Sat 7:30 pm Zoom group with friends

I have certain days I do certain things. For example, on Wednesdays I wash our bedding, clean our master bath, and soak our toothbrushes in Efferdent. I also sweep and dust the master bedroom and bathroom.

On Mondays I grocery shop. On Tuesdays I bake and do laundry.

Thursdays are for cleaning the first floor of the house.

Fridays are for special projects like cleaning out the garage, basement, closets, etc.

I also find it helps to make a list of things to do before bed or first thing in the morning. It helps me focus.

I just wrote down a daily schedule last week to keep myself productive:

-feed Stella (after all, I am only awake because she is hungry enough to wake me!)
-email/coffee
-get dressed and go out for a 15 minute meditation walk
-breakfast/newspaper/meds/check calendar/journal
-chores (dishes, wipe counters, chore of the day)
-Activity! (Whatever I want to do...read, work in the garden, go for a walk, video chat with dd, watch dumb TV, hike with gentleman friend)
-lunch/feed Stella/feed Gilbert Finster
-Activity of choice! Often a long walk (or if I walked in the morning, maybe a nap)
-read at least 30 minutes
-feed Stella
-strength workout (10 minutes)
-make dinner/watch news
-yoga (30 minutes)
-TV or read
-feed Stella
-shower/meds/bed

I have a Chore of the Day:

-Monday: Water plants and change fish water, weed/tend right front garden
-Tuesday: Grocery shop or mow lawn (alternate weeks), left front garden
-Wednesday: trash out/trim lawn, annual herb garden
-Thursday: errands/phone calls/emails, day lily bed
-Friday: muck out fridge/pay bills, vegetable garden
-Saturday: laundry, asparagus bed
-Sunday: general house cleaning, perennial herb bed

Also each week of the month is dedicated to a different area of the house. I just make sure I do a little something (declutter, dust high places, tend to an area that gets dirty, clean a drawer or shelf or closet, etc) each day of the designated week. My areas are:

-Week 1: Entrances (inside and out) and laundry area
-Week 2: Kitchen/dining area
-Week 3: Office/guest bath/guest bedroom
-Week 4: Master bed & bath
-Week 5: Living Room

I know this looks complicated, but it has really worked for me. If I miss a daily chore or activity, no worries, because it will come around on my calendar again soon...so I don't get too crazy about it.

I don't have a set schedule, but have kind of fallen into one.

Wake up - usually around 8 or 9ish. Read in bed for an hour or so (sometimes I'll doze off again).
10ish - up, breakfast, dishes
Do something productive after breakfast. Clean, laundry, special project, work at school - doesn't matter as long as it's productive.
Read
Early dinner if I don't snack while I'm working.
Go on a walk with my dd - usually at the beach for an hour or hour and a half.
Eat dinner if I snacked while I was working.
Read
Watch tv with dh
Go on the computer, maybe watch a show with dd or on my own
1-2am - go to bed

I treat the day like any other work day. I have been waking up later since I don’t have to commute or even HAVE to shower now, but my day looks like this:

6:30 wake up
6:30-7:00 work out
7-8- make bed, start laundry, take dogs out, shower, wake up my boys
8-8:30- check emails, do any follow up
8:30-9:30- meeting with school team
9:30-10- take a walk, do any follow ups from meeting
10-1 it depends on the day of the week, but I usually have meetings or classes. If not I have lots of paperwork to do.
1:00- 1:30 standing meeting
1:30-3:00- any work that needs to be done or study for my big exam

I officially get off work at three and now that I am home I really don’t work late like I used to. So depending on the weather I might go to the beach, take a walk, cruise the internet, or do absolutely nothing

Lisa- I just read yours, I’m going to try to incorporate some of your ideas for the chore of the day and which part of the house to focus on- that is awesome!

For my kids, they usually have class online at least 1-2 hours a day (today was PE- that was fun to watch!)

They are responsible for keeping their own schedule. I did have to make times for meals for them otherwise they would have eaten everything in the first week, and I have no video games rule until the end of the school day (3 pm). I also had to make a rule that they HAVE to leave the house for at least 30 minutes a day- walk the dog, go for a run, paddle board, surf, sit in the yard.....

I donít have a very strict schedule, but itís enough to keep me from being a total slug.
  • alarm at 8
  • check work email
  • check social media
  • doze awhile
  • up between 10 & 11
  • take meds & eat something
  • make bed & open bedroom curtains
  • get dressed
  • check email, message with team, grade kid work
  • afternoon project (see, Cricut, random craft)
  • cook supper with DH
  • listen to governorís daily briefing
  • clean up kitchen
  • shower
  • watch tv with DH
  • read
  • bed anytime between midnight and 3am

These are things I throw in at some point in the week.
  • yard work
  • laundry
  • clean something

DH feeds the dogs and birds. I take care of Guinea pigs. Theyíre all chow hounds.

We also menu plan. We usually grocery shop together, but right now itís a limit of one adult per cart, so we take turns shopping.
