I want to do something for my daughter's teacher for teacher appreciation. We picked a bunch of strawberries at the strawberry patch and was debating giving her a basket of fresh strawberries. She works part time in town so we could just drop it off at the restaurant when she is there. Is it tacky or unsanitary with covid19 going on? We haven't had any symptoms and washed hands before and after picking.

Hmm, that's a good question. I think that's something that some people would feel perfectly ok with, and others would not. I think safety wise it's probably ok, and not any different risk than getting berries or other fresh foods from the store. Do you think you could email her and ask? I know that seems strange, but these are strange times. Either way, it's really kind of you to want to appreciate her in this way! If you can't do the berries, maybe your daughter could create a homemade card?

Just be sure to put the strawberries in a closed container that can be wiped down when she gets home. And of course, wash the strawberries.
