Piggyback on taxes (my DH hasn't done ours, yet)

I have been on him (slightly) about doing them. They have become too complicated for me to do myself (although with TurboTax, which we use, I could do it, I'm sure).

I can't believe it is June 16th and our taxes aren't done! I know there was an extension given, but we didn't really need it. (My DH is going through some things right now, so he isn't his "normal" self. He typically gets them done asap).

Curious if anyone else hasn't done their taxes for this year.

I had started ours before and just them aside when the deadline was delayed. Owing, I donít like to turn the money over until the last minute.

I was leaving for my parents house and when I get back we will leave on a vacation returning right about the deadline. I finished them up roughly and did my state return. I will need to file and pay, but they are done.

I do have to figure out how to make it not charge me a late payment charge that it was showing. I am not paying an extra fee.

SO and I were about to get them done the week before everything shut down in mid-March. I tried to do them online, but towards the end, there was something I wasn't sure I did correctly.

I was wondering how we were going to gets our done in time and miraculously, the co. who's been doing them the last couple of years called yesterday to make an appt. for next week. Yay! In the meantime though, I'm going to start trying to find a co. around here where I can just send in my docs, we can talk on the phone if needed, and they send back whatever I need to sign and that's it.

Mine are done, although I want to go back through and double check everything. They are not filed, though. We owe money so I never rush to do that. I will probably file next week, though, just so I can get it off my mind.

We haven't even started. DH does them every year, and he is always last minute. I suggested getting them done so we wouldn't have to worry about it later, but he just said he'll do them when it's time. Frustrates me, but not enough to do them myself!

Exactly! Same here! I know he will get them done, but I also know I am going to have to remind him since he has so much on his plate right now.

Did ours last week. Since we are always April 14 people I was pleasantly surprised DH got them done a month ahead of time. And we always get money back, I never understand the procrastination.

My husband always waits until the last minute! He did mention them yesterday so that's a good sign!

I still have to do ours. I HATE doing them. I said we were paying someone else to do them this year, but then everything fell apart. Now I just keep putting it off.

We arenít done, either. We are scheduled to go to the accountant on Friday, though. DH always waits until the last minute.

I held off because according to 2018 (and ANY other year) I qualified for the stimulus but not 2019. Not because I will ever make that much money, but because the money I pulled out for my house down payment counted as "income." I just had them filed last week- definitely seems strange! Haven't paid what I owe yet though.

I just did ours today.

We did not need the extension for financial reasons, but it was nice not to have to take the time to do them during DH's medical issues and quarantine.

I'm waiting for my sister-in-law to do mine. She wanted to do them earlier but for some reason she is delaying.
