Why no Zia?

Does anyone know why Zia is not on PT anymore? I think someone posted, like they “knew” her, that she would NOT be back????? Just wondering why?
I always enjoyed her pictures of her vintage camper that I believe she called “Beverly”. There were always posts about her planning for their summer camping adventures and outlining their route etc.
Every time I see one of those campers I think of her. And they are everywhere.

Oh gosh I hope that’s not true! I liked Zias posts so much, loved her vintage camper and camping pictures and valued her voice in the community.
I had it in my mind that she’d had a rough group this year in class and that’s why she hadn’t been around much. I could be making that up.
I hope someone active is in contact with her to let her know she is missed. I wish we had a “ designated contact” for people lol. I know my participation ebbs and flows but I hate it when people go missing so to speak.

I miss Zia! If I remember correctly, I think she was hurt by some things people posted that were not nice.

She did say she was struggling with some student issues this year. I figured she would come back after our school was let out and at least for summer.

She teaches in my district and I am certain I could contact her, but I hesitate to do so. She knows she could talk on PT.

There have been several wonderful posters run off by bullies. I'm so sad to hear of Zia's experience here.

I miss her, too. I so enjoyed seeing the amazing and inspiring photos of her hiking experiences on mountain trails and canyons. And it was fun to follow the progress of her kitchen remodel. I wish she would ignore any perceived negativity and return to PT. There is so much more positivity on PT than otherwise.

I read more than I post, but would it help if someone sends her a private message that she is missed? She will at least receive a PT email to know all these wonderful thoughts.

Unfortunately some posters do experience frightening threats to their privacy and job security in addition to getting feelings hurt on this board.

Be safe everyone and take care of your anonymity.

I looked her up and was surprised to see that her last visit to PT was on Feb 20! Her last post was to thank everyone for birthday wishes on Feb 10. I didn’t see anything in the previous couple of months that was contentious.

Hopefully someone here knows her irl and can let her know she’s missed.

You know that episode of Big Bang Theory when Amy was trying to teach Sheldon a lesson and kept starting things and leaving off the ending? That's how I feel about Zia's remodel project! I have imagined what that penny backsplash must look like so many times, and I was sad she quit posting before we got to see it! I selfishly need an ending!

Plus, I miss her all her other posts too!! Zia, if you are lurking- hope all is well!!

i think of her whenever i hear a Tom Petty song.

just FYI: i think you have to set your preferences to receive an email for PM's. (i don't have that set--i just get a notification when i log in to PT)

i hope she is doing well and having so much fun that she just can't be bothered with PT!

I hope things are going well with her too. I hadn't remembered anything contentious either and miss the kitchen remodel/hiking updates.
And I'm with Tia---I don't get emails with messages but gosh I hope she's doing good.

I miss Zia too! She had such a unique and positive attitude that just added a bit of much-needed spark here on PT. The world needs more Zias.

I really hope she didn't feel unwelcome here because it was much the opposite.

Zia, I hope you stop in soon! We miss you.

I do too! As I recall, she was going to hike the Grand Canyon from the north rim to the south with her family. I was looking forward to seeing photos of her hike.

I loved how you often couldn't predict (at least I couldn't) how she would come out against different topics. She was always able to defend her stand.

I would love to hear her perspective on some of today's issues.

I've been in touch with her. She was very sad to have to leave, but was forced to by someone that crossed the line in multiple ways. I miss her as well!

Sometimes PT has the same ills as the rest of social media.

I miss her too! I knew she had a difficult class but was also hoping she'd be back this summer. I miss her camping adventures and really wanted to see her remodeled kitchen.

I’m sorry to hear that about her. I feel at times the line on here and other social media sites gets a bit blurred. Some don’t mind sharing themselves but obviously someone took advantage.
