I hate UPS.
I hate UPS.
I hate UPS.

Email and text alert: Out for delivery today.
Office: I guarantee it’ll be there today.
Driver: It didn’t make the truck. Call the 800 number.
Repeat daily for 1 week.

I hate UPS.

I’m whispering as I know delivery of my item isn’t of huge importance, but I want it. What’s bothering you?

Just found out we're teaching online for at least the first 9 weeks. I don't know how to begin the year with kindergarten remotely.
I would have been disappointed to be teaching in-person too, since it isn't safe.

I am surprised that neither option pleases me. I also hate that a lot of this summer has been taken up with thoughts about school.

I miss the big gatherings of our friends. This includes a lot of friends, rowdy fun and boisterous frivolity. Too much food and a wee too much drink. Miss the big life!

I hate online teaching. I miss the kids. There is no good solution.
Parents here are protesting to open the schools in person even though the virus is rising. They need their babysitting. I canīt read comments anymore because it infuriates me.

Tired of the waiting game. District and union are negotiating an MOU for the start of the year and distance learning. I just want to know what is expected already! *I am grateful for a union that has our backs, though.

OnTrac is so annoying. Switched my package with another one. We took the wrong package to the right house. Waiting to see if OnTrac will bring mine today.

Painting my office/craft room this week. Need to clear all the stuff out today. There is a lot of junk in there!

I hear you! 56 and 34 years done. I am eligible for my district's 7 year small early retirement stipend, but I have to put in for it by December 1st for next June ( and pay my own insurance) Things could be looking a lot better by then.

I'm hoping if I just get through this year I can do a few more. But, honestly, I don't want to do THIS year, and I want to be able to retire NOW in order to avoid it. Too late

You are so close to reaching maximum. Do you have a lot of sick days that will bump you up? My sick days gave me two extra years of service credit. Talk with a retirement counselor. You may be pleasantly surprised.

I have not been sleeping and I've lost weight, weight that I can stand to lose but wasn't actively trying to lose it. I am stressed and scared and so unsure about returning to school. My district has a special school board meeting tonight to discuss school opening plans. We will know one way or another but my bet is we open 100% in person with few extra safety precautions. I can't quit and am not anywhere near retirement. This really sucks.....

I got my class list, and I am excited about going back, even with masks and social distancing.

I donít mind that kids will be in rows facing forward- it will be like when I began teaching in the 80s!

I like that kids will have masks so they canít sneeze and cough on me.

I wish my dad would stop sending me house listings in my home town. I unfortunately decided to bag the idea of buying a house until next year. Dad knows this and keeps sending me listings that are and will be out of my price range. I haven't ruled out buying in my hometown in the future, but the area isn't my top choice (my dad knows this as well). I know he is trying to be helpful, but I shouldn't have to keep telling him.

I'm getting anxious over our impending move. I'm trying to do as much as possible now as we will be moving at the end of September and BF and I will have less time to get everything ready. I packed up winter shoes today and I'm staring on my winter clothes. BF is bringing them over to his dad's to store tonight. It's a start!

I dislike midterm exams, with 20 short answer questions.
I'm nervous I won't get an A in this class.

I want to go on a vacation.

My new phone is scary. By text, I made an appointment for a haircut next week. I went to the date on my calendar, and click on add. The suggested event to add was a hair appointment at 10:30! That's creepy. It had to know what I was texting!

I want to sit on a beach in the Baja sipping on a margarita.

I am so tired of reading about people not wearing masks and getting COVID. I'm tried of the nutty theories/beliefs having to do with the virus.
I'm already tired about how wonderful the sperm demon doctor is.
I can't watch the news without my BP rising and my anxiety kicking in.
I wish people would FB me when they get something I sent to them
Only 3 people know this before now, but I am 1-1/2 weeks into a eating plan [Nutrisystem] that is working for me. Now onto activities.

Ups
Old 07-29-2020, 04:48 PM

While I understand your frustration, dear friend, my DH worked for UPS for 30+ years and there are many possibilities for why it wasnít on the truck.

Not enough loaders showed up for their shift so some packages didnít get put on trucks.
Package got misdirected and put on wrong truck.
Driverís truck was overloaded thanks to higher administration thinking this is not a problem. By 9:00 Pm driver is over his time limit, even with over time.

There are also ridiculous reasons such as a flat out lazy driver or loader or preloader.

And itís a nightmare out there right now.

That said, I KNOW how much you really do appreciate your UPS driver. And everyone should remember....itís not the driver who loads the truck.

I do appreciate my regular UPS driver. I never blamed him.

I would have been fine if they told me a day it was coming and it did, I was never in a hurry, but theyíve been sending me at least 3 emails a day for the last week telling me my order is ďout for deliveryĒ that dayóthen no show. As I told the agent on the phone today, I wasnít angry, I was frustrated.
