Way to Weed Out Internaional Amazon Sellers Before Ordering?

Is there a way to weed out international retailers when ordering off Amazon? I really don't want to order things and then later on when I get the shipping info, I see that it's coming from (anyplace non-USA). Is there a way to find out BEFORE actually ordering the item? Seller names on Amazon as we know are any kind of made-up name the person wants to say.

Items just take way too long to arrive and I have the most trouble with things coming internationally.

Sometimes in the questions section someone will ask where a product is made and get the answer from another buyer. I've also seen it included in a buyer's product review at times. Otherwise, unless the seller includes it in the product information then it's anyone's guess.

I've asked Amazon to include the country of origin for all products sold on their site. I want to buy American products as much as possible.

I typically only order items that are prime. That pretty much guarantees the item is sitting in an Amazon warehouse ready to be shipped right away. I don't have patience for anything taking longer than a few days to get to me. You can filter your search to only prime.

Sometimes you can tell by the description and comments that English isn’t the native language. That’s not fool proof, but gives you a hint to investigate more.

Lately I've noticed infomercials touting distribution from their American distribution centers. It makes me suspect that the product was not manufactured here.

I feel your pain. Along with the other tips you’ve received, I suggest reading every inch of fine print and read between the lines.

And, FWIW, any clothing company using a variety of the following names, comes from China:
Udear, Rose, Lily, Gal, or just peculiar combining of female names.

I always order items that are ‘sold and shipped by Amazon’.

As others have said, make sure it's coming from an Amazon warehouse.

In addition to that, a huge giveaway (even if it is a Prime item), if it says it will ship in 2-3 days that's a huge giveaway. Means it's shipping from China first. You'll get it a couple of months later, after it goes through customs, etc.

Thanks guys. I won't pay $100/yr for Prime, so if anything has to do with that, then it's a no go for me.
