Clip to ScrapBook #1

I pinned this when it was first published in Feb 2019. LINK. I had some dark blue nylon webbing (not sure what I purchased it for or when) but started with that and found some fabric that I had. A few things I did different from the instructions: 1) I used cotton fabric and not a sport twill. It's fine. 2) I interfaced the pocket piece for more stability. 3) I did not use piping. 4) I did not put in a grommet. My earphones connect by bluetooth rather than a wire and plug. Although I did use webbing, I don't see any problem with making a strap from fabric. Fabric might be more comfortable next to the neck. I wouldn't mind if there was a flat pocket on the back that hit somewhere between the two on the front.

I have an iPhone 7 in an Otterbox Commuter case and it fits with plenty of space around it.

Thanks for the link. I think I will make myself one for when I go walking. I don’t alway have a pocket. Love your fabric!

So, I had a rummage sale yesterday and today. I know I have a tendency to lay my phone down and then not remember where I put it. I did not want to do that with people around so I wore this for 2 days. It was perfect for keeping my phone on me and better (for me) than trying to put it into a pocket that is not really good for a phone.

Great to know! I have the pieces cut out, but need the webbing and hardware pieces. I have to run into town some day this week and plan to pick those things up. I know I could make my own strap from fabric, which I might do, if I happen to find things in my stash to use for the hardware. I love doing projects that require no shopping. It makes me feel good about saving all those weird little bits and pieces of “stuff”
