Ok, so I feel like I have so much to do before school starts - so many projects, organization, etc. I keep jumping from one thing to the next and am feeling completely overwhelmed. Anyone else experiencing this?

Deep breaths.....lol....

I'm moving to a new town, new school, new position (different type of position than I've previously held), and instead of packing or doing something practical ... I find myself on PT!
I know it'll get done, but I'm right there with you in feeling overwhelmed.

I always feel the same way right before school starts. I know that it will all get done but I'm always so overwhelmed.

I already had a long list of things to do to get ready for school but instead of doing any of them I thought I would quickly log onto PT last week...that's right I said QUICKLY log on I should have known better.

I truly love you guys but now I've added at least 10 new great ideas that I HAVE to do for this school year. Serenity now, serenity now...

I feel the same way...and this year i promised myself that I'd give myself until August 1st not to do or buy anything school related...yea, now that I know I do have a job that plan is not working so well...and I am the only teacher I know (as far as my friends who are teachers or colleagues) that thinks about work all summer...I don't even like to say anything to them about work because they all look at me like i am crazy...but I am also feeling overwhelmed, because there is alot that has to get done...but I also want to enjoy my lazy days

I'm definitely feeling you... I always feel super overwhelmed going back! Partly it's because I'm fighting going back because I love all the time I'm getting to myself and my hubby and I'm not so stressed I could scream... I love feeling so relaxed and content!

I'm literally going through PT (which is where I end up spending time I should be WORKING, oops...) and writing down things I like. I'm making lists, categorizing, and tackling one thing at a time. Feeling overwhelmed plus being ADD can really make me want to ball up and cry at the beginning of the year because there's just so many things to do! Plus I had to pack up my whole room because I switched rooms. I'm going to spend my first couple of hours in my new room just figuring out what's in what box!

You just have to take it one step at a time, breathe slowly, and turn to PT when you feel crazy. Promise you aren't the only one!!

I completely understand! I, too, will be in a new school and new grade level. I have found so many great things here and on other sites that I'm making it worse!

I too am feeling overwhelmed. I've gone in twice to my room and both times I've found myself literally spinning circles in the middle because I don't know where to start. Oh well. My husband is shooting a wedding tomorrow so maybe I'll go in and buckle down and get it done.

I'm also feeling overwhelmed- there are soooo many good ideas here! I finally started putting things that I need to print in a folder on my desktop labeled to be printed. Then I put the other ideas in the corresponding folder- I have one for Daily5 & Cafe, math, science, social studies, arts and crafts, and teacher stuff! Everytime I go on the computer, I tell myself just to "check out" pt for 5 min!! It usually ends up way over that!
