I'll share mine in a while. What are yours, the things that are really clawing at your heart to accomplish? This could be an interesting post. It could be in teaching or out of teaching, whatever is just gnawing at you for you to accomplish?

This is a great post...Let's see...

1. In the next year I would like to continue on my quest to like myself. By that I mean..continue getting my body and eating habits under control...I do plan and hope that I can get this accomplished in a year...and then a lifetime after that...know what I mean?

2. My house is in a disarray...not cleanliness...but it needs many updates and repairs... My husband will be 60 in August and I want to get to the point in the next year where we don't have "things" that "have" to be done for safety reasons... I know it will always need things but I want all the "safety" issues resolved.

1. I would like to be financially stable. My BF makes enough to support us, but I hate living paycheck to paycheck myself. My new job should help with this, so it's my goal by the end of the year to have paid off all of my debt (not huge, about $5,000), and to have a significant chunk of savings.

2. I would either like to go back to school for a masters degree, or start my national board cert. I'm not sure which, and since i'm starting at a new school that might not be possible this year as I'm learning a new grade level, but I'd like to at least get the ball rolling.

Totally not one that I can have any effect on, but I'd also like to be engaged!! It's been 4 1/2 years for crying out loud!

Personal: Find a way to clean my house and KEEP it clean!!! I always seem to be satisfied with it when it's clean and let clutter pile up - and then it just gets worse from there.

Professional: I'd love to get my master's degree - not possible right now due to financial issues...but I'm still young I guess!

Professional: this year I would like for there to be no issues with my testing. For the past 2 years I have been under the gun and I would just love to be able to teach!

I really want to get back to healthy habits. In the past few months, I bought a house and moved and I haven't been exercising or eating healthy. I haven't gained weight, so I've been telling myself it's ok, but it's not. I need to get back on SparkPeople to track what I'm eating.

Also, I'm hoping to have another child in the next year or so.

-I would like to FINALLY be able to work again-back in a classroom.

-I would like to just get better from this brain tumor. That means gradually being able to drive myself, be with people, and have more energy to be who I would be without this illness. With that comes working and not being so sad about my circumstances...and ACTUALLY living rather than wondering what's going to happen to me.

This is an interesting thread!!

I would like to (and plan to) finish my masters. I've been done with classes for 1 1/2 years, but my paper isn't finished.

I would like to sell our townhome and buy a home. I want a yard for my kids.

I want to remember to enjoy the moment- I tend to rush around or worry about things I don't have control of, so I need to relish the moment (especially since my sons are getting older).
In the classroom, I need to be more assertive with my para's- I tend to let them slack off and avoid any confrontation with them- I need to create a team of people in the classroom.

2. Just be happy with what I have and who I'm with.

1. I would like to get the Need.org teacher's class taught in our area. It is going to be hard. I need to get 24 teachers on board for science and I'm a sub.

2. I want my kids to attend an off campus writing class next year. It consists of 2 hours off camput on Thursdays. We are getting new admin, so I have to wait and see if I'll be allowed. But I really want to do it. I believe kids need a voice and this class will teach them to write and will give them that voice I want them to have.

I'm glad people are enjoying this post.

I would like to:
1) reach my goal weight which is about 70 more pounds
2) move closer to buying a house which is questionable. I'm good at many things but managing money is NOT one of them.

I would also like to work on enjoying what I have and not always wishing for something else and to stop worrying about what "might" happen.

- See more of the world.

- Open up a backpacker hostel/ B&B (PTers get a discount )

- put more effort in my language learning. I've slacked off on lots of them.

- been putting off visiting my cousin for 5 years now. I really need to visit her.

I love this thread! Very interesting to read what others have said. My goals:

1. More healthy eating for myself and family...less junk!
2. Reduce debt and increase savings.
3. Spend more time with friends.
4 Be active every day.

1. Get my home organized, with the help of a professional organizer- I've tried it my way with little success, so its time to bring in reinforcements
2. Calm myself down from an incident in which a coworker insulted me/attacked my professional reputation - I have to work with her, which will be hard because I have lost respect for her. I need to recover from my disappointment so I can be more comfortable at work or it's going to be a long year!

I have so much I want to do!!

1. I will be done with my masters next year, and I really want to find a career, not just a job.

2. Learn how to type, considering the length of time I have been in school, you would think I have mastered it by now.

3. Learn Spanish, I swear I really want to learn, just havent had the time!

4. Buy a house

5. Like many of the other post, I really just want to be a "better" person. Especially just living more in the moment and being content with what I have.
