Geico anyone?

A close friend just switched from NJ Manufacturers Auto Ins to Geico and suggested we look into it also. NJM was always reasonably priced and very reliable. I told DS to call Geico for a quote and sure enough, he will be saving about $600. I know Geico has a big name but having never used them, do not know anything about their service. Hopefully we never have to file a claim but has anyone had experience with them that you would either recommend or not recommend?

switched to them a couple of years ago from Allstate and have never had a problem. It saved us a ton of money and I'm glad we switched. They are always helpful whenever we have called. We haven't had any accidents or tickets or anything though so I can't halp you there. Hopefully you also won't need to ever actually use it!

My DD had an accident when she was 16 and it was her fault. We called them and had no problems with anything. They handled everything quickly with the repairs and the other driver. They were also easy to contact.

I've used Geico for years. They are the cheapest around my area. I have never had a problem with any claim I have submitted with them.

We have Geico and have also never had a problem. I have been in a few fender benders and it was always the other drivers fault. Twice it was handled very quickly and easily. This last time we did have to call twice to get the ball rolling, but not a big deal.

I started with Geico when I lived in NY state, and when I moved to NJ, I had to use Allstate because Geico had moved out of NJ. When they came back, I switched. Not sure if I really saved money, but I had an issue with Allstate and their customer service was terrible, so I switched back. My neighbor has NJ Manufacturer's and I like that she gets a rebate check from them each year.

Thanks - he just switched. I will call tomorrow and decide if it is also worth it to the rest of us to switch. I do like the rebate and I have always liked dealing with NJM but at this point if the coverage is the same, money talks!

I loved Geico! I switched from Allstate. I had two accidents (neither were my fault) with Geico and it was super easy to get things settled. I would still be with them, but my now husband had different insurance (USAA) and wanted to stay with them.

We love Geico - we had them during Katrina and they were wonderful.

We have no desire to switch to someone else. We had Allstate for years, and they weren't nearly as friendly and their rates kept going up.
