It's not even 6:00 in the morning and I know I'm down one paraprofessional. I am trying to get my DLM-KITE testing done this week instead of dragging it out past Spring Break. I also need to do the March post-assessment for ULS. I need all hands on board. There will be no sub. It just doesn't happen. Sub paras don't get paid much and there aren't that many in my district. Four more days. I can do this.

We've all been through the most difficult situations with our kids. This is when all the training you've been doing kicks in. You are not alone.

The good news is that I am close to being done with the DLM-KITE. I have my ULS March post-testing to do. My goal is to get it done by Thursday before lunch. That will give me some time to actually teach this week. I wish our district would pay sub paras more, especially the ones who do take jobs in the low incidence classrooms. It's a tough job, especially if you aren't used to it.
