I couldn't even figure out the free part when I went on this week. Hopefully someone has a tip. The format is quite different.

I have been using Spelling City for about 5 years now, but am not quite sure about your specific problem.

Do you just need to add a word to a current list? Or, are you trying to add a word so that it is counted as extra credit, but if incorrect, does not penalize the student?

Since you are on the free version, could there be a limit to the number of words you may have on a list?
Is this a list that you have created, or did you import it?

Generally, to add a word to a current list, go to the list, click on edit, scroll to the bottom of the list, click add a word or batch entry, then type the word, and click save.

If you give me more details, I will try to figure out the problem!

I was in Google Chrome. Had to use Internet explorer to add a word, but Chrome for kids to print. Go figure. I've used it for many many years and still love it. My class takes their test on it and print it out...ta da graded and ready to go home. i add a bonus word so I have to adjust score, but still can usually get it done and send home same day. Thanks for all replies! Have a GREAT evening.
