with classroom teachers and parents? Do you do it at the end of the quarter? Do you have a report card/rubric? What information do you share?

Hi. In our district, we have a progress report that is shared with parents at the end of each marking period. We also have a rubric for the unit that was completed but it is up to the individual gifted teacher to create that. Additionally, we choose a piece of student work to showcase as an artifact.

Similar to the previous post, our district has a progress report that we send home quarterly for students who do not yet have an IEP. Students with gifted IEPs get quarterly computer printed progress reports that address their specific gifted goals.

At the end of each unit, I send home student work in a packet, with a page attached that describes the various activities we did, a space for comments from me specific to that child, and place for parents to sign.

I also use Bloomz for parent communication when I need to send out reminders to all parents.
