piggyback on records - cd version

About three years ago many records stores would buy used CDs for $1 each. Not any more. I think I missed my chance to unload about 1200 CDs.

No CD slots in cars or computers anymore. They seem to be on their way to oblivion.

I know. Will soon be buying a new laptop and in the future a car. Neither one will have the CD holder. I really miss that because I donít use Sirius. Bummer! I love my CDs!

Missed my chance

I missed my chance when several years ago (about 10 or 11) my CDS were stolen from my car that it was in my garage! They were never found. I'm sure the person who stole them broke them and threw them all away when he realized the music was girly, ####ty music!

I didn't know stores even used to do that! My parents still buy CDs. They're always about 20 years behind the technology curve- growing up (I'm in my early 30s) we had records for many, many years even though the rest of the world had beyond moved on. I remember my mom being devastated when the record player broke and not being able to replace it/find anyone to fix it.

Come to think of it, I have no idea what happened to my CDs. I must have gotten rid of them in one of my earlier moves- I can't remember! I don't have any anymore. I do hold on to a few TV series DVDs and a cheap DVD player for the rare times when the wifi goes out!

I miss my cds! I have a ton of great music and no way to play it except in the car (and I don't bother).

I also have a ton. We bought a separate disc reader for our computer just so we could play cds and load them onto the computer. (And then onto iPods via iTunes. Weíre old, school!)

In fact, weíre leaving for the mountains tomorrow and I just charged up my iPod mini. Could be itís last trip..... my phone now has more music.

I still have a CD player. I don't use, as all my music is on my iPod. I still occasionally buy CDs of my favorite singers and singing groups. That way they are part of my collection. I have an older computer that has a disc drive. This is where I upload CDs to iTunes.

iTunes has been dropped. It is now Apple music. I had to reload a lot of songs that I had loaded from CDs and not to the cloud.

When I bought a newer used car last year I was shocked and saddened to find out that new cars are nit made with CD players any more. Thatís the only place I played my CDs. I am now hunting the local thrift stores to find a good, cheap CD player.

Oh really? My car is a 2009 and I don't remember if my Mom's 2013 (or was it 2015?) car has a CD player in it.

What do cars have now other than the radio?
