guided math next year, so this is a huge topic of interest for me. I have not completely implemented math centers, however I have started gathering resources. I have been searching blogs and the free section of TPT for resources and laminating them. I then put the center in a folder or manila envelope and sort it accordingly. I have a few bins in my classroom based on different areas of Math- place value, measurement, etc. This is pretty much my center layout thus far. I'd love to hear what others have to add! Great question Bella!

I had stations that rotated.. one station w me working on the skill or mini lesson, word problems in one station, a game at another, switched game to match skill, math facts station and I sometimes had one where they did independant work.
what is TPT?

TPT is teacherspayteachers.. google it- you won't be sorry. It's one of my favorite sites to search for resources for my classroom. It's been a blessing for this 1st year teach!

My partner teacher and I use alot of Laura Candler's math centers. SOme are posted free online at her website if you google her and some come from her amazing resources, which we have purchased and I promise you won't regret it, but we also make alot of our own. I have attached a sample of what we have created. If your interested I would be more than willing to post the entire batch of cards. When we printed them on cardstock we used three to four different colors to differentiate the levels and we would assign our math groups by color of the cards: example the green group would also start math centers with the green activity cards. We also posted the answers on the back of the cards so kids could self check, thus alleviating another thing for us to grade.

I just found out last week that I'll be teaching Math (I thought I was moving to 2nd Literacy) and I would love to work with small groups next year.
Thanks for the set you posted.

Twinmom- what activities do you use in your math facts station? I need to boost my centers as well. You sound like you have some great rotations in your classroom!
