I am home 24/7 basically and bored out of my mind. I am looking for some show (s?) to binge on BUT am VERY VERY picky. I have right now Disney +, Apple TV, Netflix and Amazon;

I watched all of Cagney and Lacey; In the Heat of the Night and then just finished Anne with an E.

I HATE any horror/sci-f things like that....

I watched the one on Apple TV The morning show (? the one with Jennifer Annisten but couldn't get into it, even though it had a great cast!)

Would love some suggestions!
Thank you!

Hope you’re recovering nicely!

If you liked Cagney & Lacey, you’ll also like Rizzoli & Isles. (It may be Prime, or just old repeats on regular channels)
I’m watching (thanks GG) the old legal show, The Practice (Prime).

Schitt's Creek is funny. Shameless is funny too. I enjoy reruns of Gilmore girls, too. All of those are on Netflix.

On Amazon Prime, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is great!

Based on what you have already watched, you may like Person of Interest. I am currently watching Virgin River and like it. The Toys That Made Us and The Movies That Made Us are both interesting. All of these are on Netflix.

There is a website, justwatch.com, that lists what is currently streaming on the various sites and gives a brief description.

Try Scott and Bailey on Prime. 2 female detectives who have very different personalities.

We loved In Plain Sight series and are now working through DCI Banks. Both are detective/ crime shows. We also loved Death in Paradise, which was a lighter/more tongue in cheek type crime show.

I really liked Anne with an E, too. I liked Virgin River and Call the Midwife, too. Call the Midwife took some time to get used to, but then I ended up loving it. Both on Netflix.

If you like British mysteries, Netflix has Father Brown, Midsummer Murders, and Death in Paradise.

I've been binge watching Boy Meets World. :-)

Have you watched Encore on Disney+? We really enjoy it. Also, Togo is a great movie.

tchrrx - just saw you watched Togo. Glad to hear it was good - my brother was the postproduction supervisor on it. Might have to watch it.

As far as shows go, I have to recommend Schitt's Creek, too. It's VERY funny! I love The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, and I just started watching The Crown on Netflix which is FABULOUS. Did you watch Dead to Me on Netflix? Only one season right now but it was great. DH watched Jack Ryan on Prime and loved it. Not my kind of thing, but other people I know loved it, also.

Scandal(series with many seasons)

Jack Ryan(season 1 & 2)

Yellowstone(season 1 and 2). Western but up to date with Kevin Costner

Jason Momoa has a movie out where he is a family man(no tatts or gills). Not a 5 star but nice to see him as a real person. Its called BRAVEN.

Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher(I think its 2 movies).

Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz movie called Knight and Day is fun!

The Holiday with Cameron Diaz and Jack Black is wonderful!

Hope you are back to your old self soon!

VERY MUCH loved Dead to Me!

and am about to finish I'm Sorry--think it's a TruTV (comedy fiction) show that has 2 seasons on Netflix--plenty of cursing and d*ck jokes, though, so not for faint of heart--main character is a (raunchy) comedy writer--and I find the show hilarious!

I enjoyed the comedy show called Hart of Dixie on Netflix.

I enjoyed Scandal with Kerry Washington on Netflix as well.

Longmire is on Netflix. My husband chose this series but I enjoyed it as well.

I liked Boardwalk Empire on Prime. Steve Buscemi is a great actor.

Not sure if Six Feet Under is streaming on Prime. I love that oldie. Parenthood is another one I really enjoyed but Netflix no longer offers this one. But maybe you can find it elsewhere.

What about House of Cards with Kevin Spacey? It is on Netflix and has lots of unpredictable twists and turns in the plot.

Downton Abbey? It is a great series and I believe it is still offered on Prime.

I don't always remember what channel everything is on, but some of my favorite binge-worthy dramas are Outlander, The Americans, The Man in the High Castle, Orphan Black, and The Crown. Funny and quirky, unless you are easily offended, are Catastrophe, Derry Girls, Marvelous Mrs. Maisle and Fleabag.

I LOVED the series Atypical. It's about a family and their Dynamics with a high school-age boy on the spectrum and his sister. Heartwarming, heart wrenching, funny, and serious, just like real life.
