The little things

I just ordered a new entry rug for the back door. It closely matches the Moroccan-style dye dipped rug we have in the family room, and I am quite happy with how the look together. The old entry rug was a weird grey and white striped rug (the couches are grey in the room) that I got several years ago when we had a different rug in the family room. Hooray for progress!

The two rugs look very nice together. I agree, it's often the little things that make us smile!

Looks fantastic! I love pieces that are slightly different (and I shy away from matchy-matchy).

2 throw pillows for my guest room arrived a few minutes ago. Much better. It really is the little things.

Aww, thanks for the positive words, you guys. It is such a small thing (literally, only 2' x 3'), but it is making me smile a lot. I almost went with the exact matchy-matchy, amiga, but the original rug (the bigger one here) has quite a bit of white in the design, and I figured it would look bad quickly from dirty shoes (and dog).
Thanks for sharing my happiness.

I really like it. I just got 2 lumbar pillows for the screened porch furniture. I'm happy.

I love both of those rugs and how they look together! I got a new little computer desk, and I'm so happy with it. I keep admiring it. So, yes it is the little things that can really bring happiness!
