Clip to ScrapBook #1

Can't believe it but the Christmas tree is up, outdoor lights are up, the house is decorated, and most gifts for grandchildren are purchased! And it's only the 6th of December. I am so stress free this holiday season. Last year it was the 23rd of December(first day of break) and I asked my husband if he really wanted to put up a tree. He said yes so we did with few ornaments. I'm even thinking about baking. I haven't had time to do that in 15 years. Friends ask all the time if I'm bored not working, and I tell them I'm too busy doing what I want to be bored. Happy Holidays everyone.

People ask me if I get bored, and what am I doing all day. My answer, "I do whatever I want to do, whenever I want to."

In the past two months I have baked more goodies than I did in the last 20 years! I love retirement!

i have sooo much more done. last year i worked "part time"
at a local teacher/christmas store. i was so busy i didn't get
much done---but this year i have a different part time job and
am not nearly so exhausted. gotta love it.
a friend of mine told me that when she retire, she found herself
so busy, she didn't know how she ever worked!

I agree. I don't see how I had time to work. I am enjoying my decorated house. I have company coming tomorrow night. It is so nice I can take my time tomorrow and have fun getting the guest room ready and cooking a nice meal. Most of all I love knowing I will have the energy to enjoy my guests.

I can just sit and admire the fireplace, tree, decorations, etc... I have all my shopping done and can wrap gifts as I want to. I also have baked more this year than in any other year I can remember. It's such a blessing to be able to have the time to really reflect on the blessings of the season. Happy Holidays to all of you!
