Test Complete
Old 07-23-2020, 09:30 AM

I got my COVID-19 test done this morning at 10:30, then my doctor saw me at 10:50. Outside. In a tent. She had on full protective gear. I was sent home to do my urine test and told to send DH back with it.

Iím supposed to isolate until test results are back in 5 to 10 days, rest, push fluids, take Tylenol for fever. She prescribed Zofran for nausea. Said to call back if I was worse.

Ugg! You had a rough morning. Hope you feel better soon and your test results come back quickly. Does your family/household have to isolate themselves too?

Did you get tested for Lymes Disease too? I remember you posting about a tick bite and an infected mosquito bite.
Take care and get some rest.

I hope you feel better soon! 5-10 days seems really long- I thought results were back within a day or two.

They are backlogged with tests, so itís taking much longer for results.

Sheís not doing the Lyme disease test until we see what the urine culture shows.

She didnít tell DH to quarantine. I asked if he wanted me to go to the guest room. He said no because heís already shared a bed with me all week.

The Zofran already has me feeling better.

I am sorry you are not well. I hope it is not the virus but something you can recover from easily.

Hope you are feeling better soon! I think it's crazy how long the wait for test results is in some areas. I got a test last month because I was having an unusually long bout with asthma. The dr did the test in the parking lot and was in full PPE. I got the results (negative) with 36 hrs.

It makes me wonder how accurate the case numbers are with such a long lag time between test and results.
