During quarantine, have you learned how to do something new or taken up an old hobby? I have learned:
* how to change a faucet
* how to install a new light fixture
* that I really don’t enjoy painting walls!

I NEVER, EVER bake or make desserts and I've done that a handful of times over the last few months.

I also completely changed my exercise routine and learned that more isn't necessarily better at my age!

I taught myself to crochet and to dye yarn and raw wool. I’m looking to try my hand at spinning

I have learned

how to cut and install gutters (thought it's not perfect!)
how to make 2 different kinds of masks
with enough initiative you can upcycle and make all kinds of things without buying new.
I really want to be a stay at home mom or teach online exclusively. Just not sure how to make it happen.
how to save seeds for several kinds of flowers.
how to find more joy in little things.
gardening brings me peace in ways I never thought it would.

Thanks for a great post, FancyFish!

This is going to sound ridiculous after everyone else’s accomplishments.

I have learned to slow down.
I have learned to ponder and mull.
I have learned the joy of giving because I want to in that very moment.
I have learned that I’m comfortable in my own skin.
I am learning how to approach a feeding hummingbird.

I learned that I like riding an exercise bike at home. I probably won’t go back to the gym.
I learned to make hummus.
I learned that much of the stress in my life was related to my school, lots of negativity.

I've cooked for the first time, from scratch:
baked beans
flour tortilla
guacamole
terriyaki steak
coconut cake
refried beans

I've made paper flowers.
I've become a better pool player.
I have discovered Body Groove fitness and I've learned I do have rhythm after all.

I have learned how to really use my new embroidery machine to embroider. I am YouTube taught in quilt binding and am currently learning how to Free Motion quilt with rulers. I also downloaded the machine software to my Mac rather than my PC and am learning how to do designs with that software. I guess my new learning is sort of all within the same genre, so to speak!

I didn't really learn this, but the quarantine spurred me to become a foster for a dog rescue. Just said goodbye to our sixth dog today.

I just learned that I have been a big slacker this whole time! I am experimenting with a bitmoji classroom, so I guess that counts.

I have learned ....
I need to water my plants or they will die.
I can change the air filter on my car by myself. YouTube is wonderful.
I know recipes that will be crossed out of my cooking book/file.

I learned to solve rubiks puzzles. I solved a 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, and 9x9. I also learned to solve the same type of puzzles that are hexagonal (dodechahedron) the megaminx, giga minx and the teraminx.
I totally nerded out.

I've learned that as an introvert, I actually liked shelter in place. I didn't have to think of excuses not to attend a party!

I have learned how to play the Ukulele. I also had a lesson on what makeup to buy and how to put it on, thanks to teenage cousins who love Tick Tock!
