Investigating

My school is driving me nuts. Every little thing that a parent asks of me, the secretary or ops director says something about it... "They aren't living with family - they are just trying to get homeless money." "They don't need uniforms, they are just too cheap to buy one." "They don't need counseling, they just want attention."
Personally, though I do take steps to make my parents more accountable (i.e. walking to pick up food from a nearby school rather than requesting a Lyft to come to our school), I do not care about giving someone a uniform if I have them. I don't feel like it's my job to investigate the family for truth telling.
Just a random school counselor thought.
