Ice festival in my town - the sculptures were all the essential workers in the pandemic. Doctors, grocery clerks, nurses, parents as teachers, and many more. This was the "Teacher" sculpture.

My four year old nephew loves all things Disney. He was playing with his magnet letters the other day and spelled this out from memory.

Here’s a collage of our past week or so.

First, there was an ice storm that brought freezing rain. Next was the first snowfall that was a couple of inches. After that, we got a wintery mix of sleet and snow. Total is about 6.5 to 7 inches at my mom’s house. I’m doing my part to help get rid of the snow by making snow cream.

Here’s a bonus funny video if you’d like to see the reaction of dogs who were surprised by the ice storm. Normally DH will open the main door and let them all out at once, and they bound out the door and through the yard. This time, not so much.

Dogs Discover Ice

Our Covid Garden
Old 02-19-2021, 09:53 AM

We started a spring and summer garden back in March and we have had great veggies during our days of stay at home. We have not had many gardens in the past because of traveling

Here is a head of our beautiful cauliflower. I have enjoyed many new recipes with our abundant garden gifts.

Our garden also allowed for some social distancing at home. DH spends a bit of time with his garden.

Wow!!!!! These winter photos are stunning.

This is from our beach walk yesterday. In November you could walk from the base of the stairs out to the water. There was no “river” or wall of sand.
The river is about 5 feet wide and maybe 2’ deep. The left side of the wall is probably 20’ high.

We were stunned and in awe of the elements that created this.

The Grands in Japan

I thought about posting a snow picture, but you all are putting up some interesting weather pictures. These are my grandsons in Japan. I love the rare pictures that their maternal grandparents show up in. Its apparent that the grandfather there loves his grandbabies! I can't wait to go back to visit, but I love that the boys have loving grandparents there.

I love all the pics!

This is probably meaningless to anyone but me...I finally had the salt-stormed windows washed today and rehung the hummingbird feeder. This picture is from inside through the previously filthy slider. So happy. C’mon back, hummers!

Winter pics, children and pets..... my favorite pics any day!
Nice to see the beauty in the winter pics, even though many have been through a lot with the storms in parts of the country. It's so nice to be reminded of the beauty in our winter season.

my look through the windows pictures don't look as clear as through Amiga's window! I love all of these pictures, but the snowflakes got me. So much ugly out there, and then I'm reminded snowflakes are fascinating! And Mrs. Lilbit's Abigail home from the hospital from I don't know what. I'm sorry. I guess I missed a post. I like to see into your lives.

I spent a good hour the other day looking for the TV remote. We do not have a big house by any stretch of the imagination and I keep it neat and tidy, so I was just baffled and annoyed. After looking everywhere and getting super frustrated I decided to take the dog for a walk to clear my head. Good grief.

(I have no idea why the pic is sideways since I rarely take pictures in landscape mode. Weird.)
