This is my first year of teaching science more in depth. As much as I do with second graders, a few are getting low scores on their tests in which are open book.
A parent is concerned and asking what shall they do to help their child. Any advice on this?
I have the kids highlight vocabulary, give examples, and look at videos and share ideas. Of course with limited time, maybe it's not enough for them to really grasp it, but how do we explain this to parents at conferences coming up.
Ideas would help tremendously.
