But itís still mandatory to do them by today for one district or I will get some kind of bs write up that these were not completed on time. But there is no virtual training one, so Iím assuming they will not have a use for us until schools are back in person. I have also gotten language saying if I withdraw for the year I have to reapply for next year. Has anyone else gotten this? No communication all summer and itís just this. This job sucks.

Sounds like you can get unemployment, still, if you're getting it, now, at least.

Didnít everyone get it over the summer? I am still getting it. One district said they are going to train us and have virtual sub jobs, but there has been no indication of how that will work.

The subs in my district had a 44 minute covid training. We learned how to put on gloves, wear a mask, take a temperature, and how to use a disinfectant spray. It was insulting. I need training on the technology.

I hope you at least did that by video and didn't have to get ready and drive down there for that.

I don't know about unemployment. I tried to contact edd about that, and can't get ahold of them. I don't ask the district about unemployment because I don't think they know. They don't pay the unemployment, they pay insurance.

Right now I'm thinking I'm going to try to extend, because the job is not the same, and it is because of covid. If all else fails, I'll have to return it.
