yahoo...my school has made AYP...I just read thru the report. I am at the Jr /Sr High and wow..that is good news.

One elementary is lacking in one subgroup for Math and the other is one subgroup in math and reading...

So close as a district!

Congrats on making AYP! Our school made it too! My district was close but didn't make it. Our superintendent told us that like 90% of our state's districts didn't make AYP. There is something wrong with that.

My school didn't make it and boy, are we hearing about it! The stress levels are raised and I am just so annoyed by all of it! I miss the days of well rounded student education!

Just like kidsrme11's school, we did not make it and I know we will hear about at our in-service tomorrow.

We hadn't made AYP for the past two years so we have heard it all! I get so sick of it. I think it is so unfair that we are judged based on these stupid tests.

Good luck to you guys having to hear about it. Try not to let it bother you.

We made AYP as a district! Yeah! We had to use the confidence interval to make it in reading, but we still made it! The bad thing is I know that several schools around us did not make it. We are the only school in our area that made it this year. I really can't believe that we are still working toward such an outlandish goal.

We haven't made it for math in 3 years and we still haven't heard yet what the status is for this year. It makes me so nervous, since I was hired last year to help remedy this situation. I really gave it my all last year but the kids were super weak!! I'm fortunate enough to have an understanding principal... he keeps saying that all he would like to see is "improvement from last year" and not worry about the actual levels. Plus, he knows how hard I worked with the students. I hope we hear good news soon! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed!
