Impossible Question - A PT Game

Okay, my trivia post below led me to some fun questions we can turn into a PT game.

I will post the "impossible question" and your job is to post your best guess without googling it. I will come back in an hour and post the correct answer and see who is correct. I will try to start with an easy one!

30 seconds is the longest someone can tolerate listening to this. What is it?

Any song by Justin Bieber?

Someone chewing ice

And anyone who can stand nails on a chalkboard for more than 5 seconds must be hearing impaired.

Impossible Question

I seem to recall hearing this somewhere before....I want to say it has something to do with one’s own body, like one’s own heartbeat, But I can’t imagine why someone couldn’t tolerate that for longer than 30 seconds.

Otherwise my guess is a mosquito.

Many great responses! Many of which I'm sure are true!

The response I was looking for is....

A voicemail

30 seconds is the longest someone can tolerate listening to this. What is it?
I have several answers:
1. Christmas music before Dec 1 (although 30 seconds seems an awfully long time...)
2. crackling plastic
3. loud, smacking chewing (again, 30 seconds is WAY too long to listen to that sound)
4. mosquitoes

Well, I was so late for this, wasn't I?

. OMG! I had this for a year and it about drove me insane. If it was quiet that is all I could focus on - hearing my heatbeat. I had all kinds of tests done and they could find nothing. It went away after a year, but honestly, I considered many times how I could continue living with this. It drove me crazy! I couldn't sleep.

Curious to what the actual answer is. I can listen to most things in the right mood for quiet a while. The hard core rap stuff is a hard sell - I can't listen to that for long.

Kahula, see post above. It is.....a voicemail!

Although the heartbeat thing would drive me crazy, too! Really, so many possibilities!

I have an artificial hearth valve so I hear my heart beat 24/7. It sounds like the old Timex watches that ticked every second. People around me can hear it too. DH tell me that when he wakes up in the middle of the night and knows I'm still with him because he hears me tick. When I work closely with students they always look around to find out where that noise is coming from. I pretend I don't hear anything and it drives them crazy that they can't figure it out.
