Sidney Crosby is a class act.
He donated a car he won to a US veteran.

Sidney Crosby grew up in Nova Scotia. (Thank you Paddlegurl for setting me straight.)
If you have seen Come From Away you will understand the kindness and generosity of Maritimers.

By the way, currently there is a Tim Horton's commercial airing in Canada featuring Crosby and Nate MacKinnon talking to a group of TimBit Hockey Players. My son was a TimBit when he was a little kid. I hope the clip plays in The States. If not, google it in your country. It is really cute.

Sid's actually from Nova Scotia! We Bluenosers are very proud of that. He has always been a very grounded and classy guy.

And that commercial is one of my current favorites!

Oh my gosh.
I am so sorry.
A typical Ontarian mistake.
How embarrassing.

Plus you know I am a "Nova Scotia wannabe".
My former TimBit is a St.FX grad.

Some of my friendís kids recently played a hockey tournament in Pittsburgh. They met Sidney Crosby around town somewhere, and he took time to sign autographs for a whole team of kids. They loved meeting him and said he was so kind and generous with his time.

Crosby is the real deal. A real class act.

I love love love that commercial. My son was a TimBit too. I loved that stage of his hockey life.

Thanks for sharing this! It warms my heart when I see any of our athletes giving back to others. Great role model.
