Question about NC science standards

I'm looking on ncpublicschools.org, and the only thing I see is standards dating back to 2012-2013. Does anyone know if there are more recent standards? I don't think NC isn't using the next gen standards. I just want to be sure I'm looking at the right source. While we're at it, anything newer for social studies than 2010?

You're right, NC doesn't use the Next Generation Science Standards. Also, there has been no change in standards, except in 5th grade, for Science because it is a tested area. Social Studies hasn't changed either, and we are left to develop our own pacing guides.

Can you direct me to the 5th-grade "new" standards? I don't see them on ncpublicschools.org. I want to make sure I'm hitting the right stuff. (Sending you a PM.)

I spoke briefly with our science lab teacher today but our schedules were really packed. She did say that she would be glad to help. Hopefully I'll get more info from her tomorrow.

NC has written Essential Standards and they are based on Next Gen. Science Standards to some degree.

might be useful - there are some webinars from 2016-2017 there
