The power has been out here for 48 hours. It isnít expected on until Wednesday afternoon, if the lines are all clear. School is out until Thursday...Halloween.

I can't even imagine being without power that long. Will you lose the food you have in your refrigerator and freezer?

I’m so sorry for you. Some of my friends from my former home have been without power for days. Terrible. And I just read that the Santa Anas are blowing again tomorrow through Friday. Thinking of you.

I realize some power shut downs are necessary but I also believe the power companies are capable of bypassing the grid to avoid wind areas. We have had no more than 8 mph winds but are on safety shut off list. Sounds a bit political to me

I'd hate to be without power that long. It's sad that these fires get so bad and homes are in the paths of the fires.
