Early Dinner

My MIL just tried to get me to agree to an early dinner at 4:30. That's an afternoon snack
What time would you consider early and what is a normal dinner time for you?

5:00 is early. 6:00-6:30 is normal. Sometimes I’ll even wait until 7:00 if I really snacked a lot after school.

At 4:30 I’m still finishing my after school snack.

We often do happy hour right after school and it ends up being dinner.

Actual family dinner is generally 5:30-6 ish.

We eat dinner at 5:30. I like to have dinner made, eaten, and cleaned up before 6:30. Any later and I feel like all I do is cook, eat, clean, then go to bed on school nights. I'm in bed by 9 or 9:15 most night.

I do an 8 hour eating window (intermittent fasting). I eat between 11am and 7 pm. Really does make a big difference. Dinner is by 6:30 at the latest unless we have a dinner date with friends.

I do the happy hour thing occasionally too, usually skipping lunch and combining the two meals into one. Regular dinner is generally 6-7 unless Iím at DSís. They eat between 8-9

I joke that I'm already on the early bird schedule . I eat dinner as soon as I get home. Some days that's as early as 4:30. Usually more like 5:00-5:30 as it seems I always have some sort of errand to run after school. I am always STARVING after school even if I've had a bigger lunch.

Growing up, my family went out to dinner at 4:00-4:30 so we never had to wait for a table. We would also eat a lighter lunch on those days. So it seems more normal to me than it probably does others.

We eat dinner late..

now that we are retired we should eat earlier, but old habits are hard to break. My DH worked late so we always ate at 7pm. So, I guess eating at 5 would be early.

We usually eat as soon as DH gets home, 5:30ish. Tonight the boys ate sandwiches in the car on the way to meet DH at 5 for a Halloween event.

DS2 (5 yrs) has to be in bed between 7-7:30.

I consider 5 early. I like to eat at 7, Man would love to eat dinner at 5 so we've compromised on 600 which often turns into 630. If it goes as late as 7, there are complaints.

We eat around 4:30 or 5:00. We both get home about 4, then we cook.

We like to eat about 5:00. I'm starving when I get home, so it's easier to cook dinner when I walk in the door.

Early is 4:30 for me.

I think anything before 5 is early. We typically eat between 5-6.

I grew up eating at 5pm and still do. If I'm starving I'll get the food out at 4:30.

I consider anything before 5:00 to be early. Between 5:30-6:30 is my preferred supper time. For a long stretch of time I had to feed my toddler at 5:00 on the nose or she got hangry, but she can hang on a bit better these days and sometimes eats better if supper is a touch later.

At home, we eat between 5:00-6. But when going out, we actually go around 4:30 knowing we probably won't eat until after 5:00.

My mind is blown. Such early eaters in this group.
MIL compromised and said we can meet at 5. Then she added, "We'll be there at 4:45 to get a table"
