I need to avoid nasty, mean, nit-picking people. I don't want to become one.

It is hard when social contact is limited, but the nastiness is not good for my health.

I understand, and have just reached the same conclusion. I’ve always been good at not engaging with mean people, but even reading untruthful, vitriolic, spiteful, egocentric messages is something I choose to avoid. I have added even more limits to what (who) I read, and am increasing messaging with people who I think add positivity and kindness to the world. We are in charge of ourselves. I choose kindness. I will not stoop to their level. Like you, I don’t want to become that kind of person.

Are you on Facebook? Join the group Luna Lapin Little World by Cool Crafting. It is a group that shows their stuffed creations and asks for advice. They are so supportive, kind, and caring.

It is pure escapism. Looking at the posts will make you feel good on the worst of days.

I actually don't do facebook to get away from the negativity. I do Instagram, it seems a bit less intense.

I have been in a funk lately and I contribute part of it to the nastiness I see on Facebook. It’s been like a train wreck that I can’t take my eyes off of. Any mention of something school related makes me angry. We work so hard and all these whiny, self centered people can do is complain and publicly comment.
