After I posted about sea shanties, I remembered that was the productivity song Sheldon taught Penny as they made “Penny Blossoms”. Funny scene.

What are your favorite moments, lines, or episodes of BBT?

Dh and I swap lines all the time. That show had it all! My favorites change, but some that stand out for me:

-Sheldon doing karaoke with Leonard's mom
-anything with Raj and Cinnamon, but especially when they're all playing "Emily or Cinnamon?" and pi$$ing him off
-the scavenger hunt, especially Wolowitz and Amy (and Neil Diamond)
-when all meet at Howard's to eat the last food his mom ever put in the freezer

Ask me tomorrow and they probably will have changed.

My favorite show. I love how Sheldon and Penny’s relationship evolved.

-When Sheldon and Penny were showing each other famous people/science terms.
-Any episode with Sheldon’s mom.
-Obviously when Bernadette calls Howard a Greyhound because “they are the sexiest of all the dogs”.
-“I’m not crazy, my mother had me tested,”.

I’m sure there’s a ton more I’m forgetting.

I loved it when Penny got Sheldon Leonard Nimoy's napkin. His reaction was perfect.

When Sheldon was drunk and said "I'm Batman". Also, when Penny gave him wine to help calm his nerves when he had to give a speech and he ended up mooning eveyone at the end of his speech. Penny and Leonard played it back to him the next morning when he couldn't remember.

When Penny and Bernadette reveal to Amy that Sheldon wants is ready to get physical with her for her birthday. Amy says, "You shut your damn mouth!"

Earlier when Sheldon is asking the girls advice what to get Amy and he said "I guess I am giving Amy my genitals for her birthday."

episode when Penny slips and dislocates her shoulder in the shower and Sheldon has to get her out, dressed and to the hospital. I think this was the first episode I ever saw. And got hooked!

Sheldon/Penny scenes are the best, they had more chemistry than any of the actual couples on the show.

I also like scavenger hunt/Neil Diamond, "it's a tiara!", Spock's napkin, how the elevator got broken and any show that has Sheldon and Leonard's moms sparring.

Since we got HBO Max we are working our way through them all again in order.

My favorite, "You're harshing my buzz." I forget the scenario, but I think it was Amy talking to Sheldon, but... she could have been talking to someone else.

I use that phrase jokingly when someone tells me something I don't want to hear or know.

Just the other day a friend texted me about the website for Covid appointments. We both started texting each other trying to find a location in my area that wasn't yet full. I had to stop to get clothes out of the dryer and do more laundry. I was thinking I'd get back to it in a few hours. About an hour later, she sent a follow-up text saying that all the sites she looked up in my area were already full.

My reply... "Awww... You're harshing my buzz!"

My favorite is Leonard telling Penny the story of how he & Sheldon became roommates.

I like when Sheldon sees his mom having sex with someone.

When Sheldon is fired for talking smack about the new President. He goes to the store with Penny and tells her she should buy a lifetime supply of tampons.

Like Risa, I laughed while reading all of these, except the ones that made me go “aww” (Nimoy’s napkin, finishing off Howard’s mom’s freezer meals).

I am not a gift person and giving or receiving gifts gives me anxiety. I can't tell you how many times I've quoted the "they're not giving me a gift, they're giving me an obligation!" from the Leonard Nimoy napkin episode. (If not out loud, in my mind!)

learning how to drive on the computer set up. He is worried because they don't have any airbags...Penny tells him that she will hit him with a pillow. She does! Too funny! Love this show!

I know this thread is a week old now but I haven't been on here in a while.

A few that I loved -

- when Leonard had to go get Sheldon from the ball pit in the middle of the night and Sheldon keeps diving under the balls to get away from him and pops up saying "Bazinga!"

- Sheldon when drugged: "Mom smokes in the car. Jesus is OK with it but we can't tell dad!"

- when Leonard's mom thinks Raj and Howard are in an "ersatz homosexual relationship"

- any of the episodes with Penny's ex-boyfriend Zack - he is SO funny!

- the episode with Howard doing all the celebrity impressions when they play Dungeons and Dragons

- the episodes with Bob Newhart as Professor Proton

I'm sure there are more but I'd be here for an hour!
