I saw a product called Magic Wand on a teacher blog. Apparently its a teacher must have; it makes a noise and can be used as a transitioning device. Anyone know where to purchase one? When I google it I get a lot of Harry Potter and other weird results. lol

I have seen one available from either Crystal Springs Books or on the Responsive Classroom site?

go to really good stuff. They have one that lights up and makes noise. You can hardly hear it though. The bell is a better purchase.

it's a music wand and I couldn't decide between shapes so I bought a 5 pack for around 25 dollars and I LOVE them! My students (middle schoolers even) are mesmerized by the sound they make when I ring them for attention! I gave two away as back to school gifts to the other teachers in my department. it's musicwands dot com GET ONE!!! (or five...heheheh)

also, if it still works I used coupon code PROTEACHER at check out and saved 10%

and it came super fast. I got the star so I feel like a princess or a magician.

I like it because I can control how loud it is by how hard I hit it.

I just bought a 5 pack and the PROTEACHER code worked for 10% off. There's a short video on their site so you can listen to the sound. I decided to buy the extras for teacher gifts.

Once again PT has exposed me to something new that I've just got to have! Now, I've just got to hold out until payday.

I give, after debating and debating for months, I will now buy one or five (big debate). I did buy a Cinderella bell at Disneyland, unfortunately I let my students use it and it broke. I also have a train whistle which is pretty cool, but don't like having to blow it all the time, but it certainly gets the students' attention.

I ordered mine directly from magicwands.com, used the PT discount. I think my 5 cost around $25 with the coupon.

My 6th graders love them!
