Went in to place an order at the teacherexpress dollar days sale and the books showed up regular price. Anyone else have this problem? I know I was in the right books because it say's Regular price and that is marked out and it has $1.00 under the regular price. But when it puts it in my basket it's regular price. I found several I would really like to have but am not going to spend 500 dollars for them.
Are you talking about the Scholastic $1 sale? If so, that ended the 8th. A few of my collegues went on to the website on the 9th and the items still said $1 but when she went to check out they were all regular priced.
tried the going to check out w/o actually checking out. prices stayed the same.
I also checked the original e-mail and it didn't have a promo code.
I had started to make an order last night and had to leave before I could finish the order and everything was showing up as the dollar. It says the special sale is through 12/24/10 so it's not expired yet. Just has me curious as to what is wrong. I really wanted a couple of those activity books. Dang it.
The exact same thing happened to me. Yesterday I spent what seemed like hours going through everything, then went to check out and nothing happened. It just took me back to the shopping cart, but the order wouldn't go through. (Prices were $1.00) So I tried again today, and it showed prices as $1.00, then when you went to the cart it said full price. The sale is on until the 24th, so I figure I'll try again tomorrow, and call Scholastic if there is still a problem! There is a big difference between $3.00 and $50.00!
I had a problem with their last sale (last month or so?). I purchased a bunch of items, checked out, and nothing happened. I just left, I didn't feel like ordering them all over again.
I thought I was crazy. I spent forever going through the books, and had 19 picked. It kept saying the regular price. I went all the way to the last step in the checkout to see if it showed up there, but it did not. I figured I would call tomorrow and see what the deal is. It was very frustrating.
also just tried...not coming up as $1.00. I will definitely contact Scholastic tomorrow and find out what is going on. Please share if the $1 price comes up for you
Today I got on Teacher Express again and tried to order. It showed the $1 deal, but wouldn't let me pay. I called and they said they got the $1 fixed on the site, but people can't pay. I will try tomorrow. I am getting frustrated!
I tried and after getting $70 worth of books in my cart I went to pay and it did it again... wouldn't allow me to pay... I tried to call and it kept me on hold and then after I waited for about 5 minutes it sent me to voice mail saying all of their associates were busy.
My order and payment just went through a few minutes ago. I hope it works for others as well. I was so irritated when I lost my whole shopping cart earlier this afternoon.
I had the same thing happen a couple weeks ago - they had ebooks 50% off, but when I put them in the cart they came up full price. I called, but they said they don't have a help line for Teacher Express and they could only put in a work order for the IT department. I never heard back from them about it, just decided I didn't really need those books after all .
I had the same troubles. I finally got it to work today by paying less than $10.00 at each time. Try that if you aren't too frustrated by now It was worth the books I ordered, they are great!
I broke my order up into smaller ones (all between 10 and 20) and it worked fine this morning. It was just highly frustrating to have $70 dollars worth of books in your cart and it not go through time after time and then it would dump the cart. Oh well, all is well now these books are super!!
