So, how do you explain the difference between hopes and dreams?

Too funny!

this is a hot topic with my colleagues.

We decided there were 2 options:

1. It is just a saying about something you hope and dream will happen. There is no difference.

2. A hope is something realistic and short term. A dream is a long-range goal.

Caltha Crowe uses the language "Hopes and Goals" instead. Maybe that could help.
