I. Hate. Grading. Late. Work.

Grading late work always take so much longer than grading it at the same time I'm grading all of the rest of it. It's even worse when all of the kids are online except for a handful who are paper/pencil. The policy was supposed to be that kids can't switch from remote to hybrid during the grading period, and students who are on paper/pencil option must return the current week's work before being given the following week's work. Also, we were to count 10% off per day for late work.

I'm currently grading 12 weeks of packets for a remote kid who switched to hybrid.

This is such a PITA.

And of course, the kid who turns in the late work messages you constantly to see what grade he got.

This may be bad but I just give them a 70 and don’t really grade it. I glance at it, if it’s completed. 70. If it looks faked out or like a bunch of BS answers—then I give them a zero.

I’m not wasting my time.
